A full closure of all government buildings, businesses and activities has been issued by the Acting Prime Minister, Hon. Montgomery Daniel.

All Emergency Shelters will continue to remain open.

Information from the Meteorological Office indicates that St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be placed under a Tropical Storm Warning by noon today (Wednesday 28th September).

The local Meteorological Office will provide updates and co-ordinates of the system in a subsequent release.

All residents are asked to take the necessary precautions as Tropical Storm Matthew is now formed and St. Vincent and the Grenadines is expected to be under a Tropical Storm Warning.

The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) will issue further releases by noon today.
