Yesterday, August 16th, the Department of Consumer Affairs in the Ministry of the Public Service Consumer Affairs and Sports hosted a Town Hall Meeting with the constituents of South Leeward at the Questelles Learning Resource Center. The meeting’s aim was for Vincentians to become more familiar with the Consumer Protection Act.

Yesterday’s discussions addressed:

1. Basis rights and responsibilities of Consumers
2. Grounds for filing complaints
3. Discretion to investigate
4. Order of the Tribunal
5. Duties of suppliers
6. Warranties

The Department will continue its National Consumer Empowerment Campaign on Thursday, 31st August, 2023 at the Fitz Hughes Government School. Stay tuned for more updates.
