Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Ralph Gonsalves will be treated to the most honourable reception accorded to a visiting dignitary by the President of the Republic of China on Taiwan on Monday, 8th August, 2022 to celebrate his 76th birthday and his Official State visit to Taipei.

On the Morning of August 8th at 10:30 a.m., Taiwanese President, H.E Dr. Tsai Ing-wen, will host a Military Honours Salute, to welcome Prime Minister Gonsalves and his delegation to Taipei.

Immediately after, both leaders will meet briefly and engage in a signing ceremony for the Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between the Government of the Republic of China on Taiwan and the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and the Treaty between the Government of the Republic of China on Taiwan and the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on the transfer of Sentenced Persons.

At midday, President Tsai will host a State Banquet in honour of Prime Minister Gonsalves and later in the afternoon, the Deputy Political Minister in the Ministry of Education Mr. Mon-chi Lio, will visit Dr. Gonsalves for a meeting. Following this, the Prime Minister will meet with Taipei's Foreign Minister, H.E Dr. Jaushieh Joseph Wu.

The Foreign Affairs Minister will, following the meeting, proceed to host dinner in the honour of Dr. Gonsalves to end the day.
