Dive Operators Seek to Improve Tourism |

Ways to improve the tourism product were discussed recently, by local dive shop operators, and members of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Hotel and Tourism Association. These discussions were one of many which took place at a one-day seminar, hosted by the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority at the training room of the National Insurance Services.

Visitor Arrivals Increase |

Visitor arrivals figures to St Vincent and the Grenadines for the first two months of 2012 have showed an increase compared to the same time last year. Minister of Tourism Cecil ‘Ces’ McKie , speaking during a news conference said that up to February 2012 there has been an increase of 1.9%

Tourism Logo Wins Gold ADDY Award |

A lionfish derby and barbecue were two of the activities which formed part of the 2012 Mayreau Regatta which ran from April 26th – 29th. The organizers of the event spearheaded this drive, as part of the process of eradicating the increasing population of the lionfish, in the waters of the Southern Grenadines. The Mayreau Regatta included other activities such as: Fishing Competitions, Sailing, and a Gum-Boat Competition. |
