The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment has noted an increase in the incidence of dengue fever cases in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), in the months of June and July 2020, (as compared to the same period in previous years).

This was picked up by routine surveillance activities, which revealed an overall total of 23 cases of dengue so far for the year. Over the last 7 years, the annual average number of dengue fever cases has been 15. In 2010 and again in 2012 there were outbreaks of Dengue Fever when 218 and 248 cases were recorded, respectively.
