The 9th of April, 2021 will mark one year since the last explosive eruption of the La Soufrière volcano. The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) in collaboration with the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWISRC), the University of Cambridge and the University of East Anglia will launch one month of activities to commemorate the anniversary and to continue to raise awareness of the risk and science associated with the La Soufrière volcano.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment wishes to advise the general public that as part of the its mosquito control programme for the adult Aedes aegypti mosquito, the Insect Vector Control Unit will be conducting fogging operations in the following areas commencing at 5:00 p.m. daily on the island of Saint Vincent.

The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO), is making an urgent plea for members of the public NOT TO TAMPER WITH, OR REMOVE, ANY EQUIPMENT THAT IS USED TO MONITOR ACTIVITY AT THE LA SOUFRIÈRE VOLCANO.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade commenced its annual School Visit Programme yesterday, March 28, 2022. The School Visit Programme for this year will be kept in-house at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade’s Conference Room from 28th March to 1st April, 2022. Both morning and afternoon sessions are held to accommodate over 380 students throughout the week.
