The World Trade Organization (WTO) Secretariat, in collaboration with the Organization of the Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), Commission, will host a regional workshop on World Trade Organisation (WTO) Issues in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; from Monday 4th to Tuesday 5th November, 2019.  The workshop is being coordinated through the Trade Department within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade & Commerce.

The workshop will target senior government officials who will be updated on the current status of WTO negotiations as well as other on-going developments related to multilateral trade.  It is expected that this activity will provide an opportunity for OECS member states to consider positions on a range of issues ahead of the 12th Session of the Ministerial Conference.

The workshop will also offer an opportunity for the OECS member states to discuss joint approaches being pursued by some members. In this view, participating member states will have an opportunity to discuss developments at the multilateral level.

The workshop will be held at the Beachcombers Hotel from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both days.
