The Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU) within the Service Commissions Department will be hosting Public Servants Patriotic Week 2019 of activities from the 21st – 25th, October, 2019. Three (3) activities are planned by the Unit to commemorate the Renewal @ 40 Independence celebrations with the aim of strengthening patriotism and pride amongst public servants.
Deck the National Colours: Office Decor and Workwear
Ministries and Departments are asked to decorate their Offices using the national colours from the Tuesday 15th October, 2019 to the end of the month. Additionally, Public Servants are being urged to incorporate the national colours in their work wear for the week of the 21st – 25th October, 2019 leading up to Independence.
Public Service Talk: Rekindling Public Service Pride
This is a lively, engaging and interactive training session scheduled for Tuesday, 22nd October, 2019 at the NIS Conference Room. The training will be facilitated by the Hon. Rene’ Baptiste, Attorney at Law and Speaker of the OECS House of Assembly. It begins at 8:30 a.m and concludes at 12:30 p.m.
Throwback Thursday: 1970s Fashion
This activity is slated for Thursday, 24th October, 2019 and provides an opportunity for staff within Ministries/Departments to adorn themselves in office - wear and accessories that depict the 1970s era.
