The Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU), within the Service Commissions Department, will be hosting Public Service Week 2019 to commemorate the United Nation’s Public Service Day - Sunday 23rd June 2019, under the theme ‘Promoting Gender and Diversity Responsive Public Services to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)’.

The objectives of the Week are:

  1. Creating avenues for the exchange of experiences, ideas, innovations and good practices in the Public Service.
  2. Enhancing professionalism and motivating Public Servants.
  3. Improving the quality of service delivery through the experience of citizens.
  4. Sensitizing public servants on the importance of streamlining gender and diversity.

The activities are scheduled to commence on Monday 17th through to Sunday 23rd June 2019, and are as follows:

Tuesday 18th  Think EAP-Permanent Secretary Edition, Frenches House, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon
Wednesday 19th  Inter-Ministerial Internship
Thursday 20th  Inter-Ministerial Internship
Friday 21st Symposium on Gender and Diversity, Peace Memorial Hall, Kingstown, 8:30 a.m. 12:00 noon
Saturday 22nd  Movie Night @ Peace Memorial Hall, 6:30 p.m.
Sunday 23rd Views and Issues on National Broadcasting Corporation, 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m


The Reform Unit once again anticipates the support and participation from the public during the week of celebration.
