VENEZUELAN HANDING OVER
Vincentian students who were awarded scholarships to Venezuela received kits to assist with their Spanish studies from the Venezuelan embassy.
The kits included a folder, notebook, a tape recorder, tapes and other items to assist students in their studies.
Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonsalves said that the twenty-five students taking the six month Spanish course, held at the embassy, have the advantage of learning Spanish while having the support of their families.
Prime Minister Gonsalves also pledged to give the students a stipend of three hundred dollars a month to assist with the cost of transportation and other expenses during the course.
The students will be in Venezuela for a period of three-five years. Studies will include Law, Social Communications, Agriculture and Auto Mechanics.
