COUNTRY POVERTY ASSESSMENT TO BE LAUNCHED
The state of poverty in this country will be examined as the Government in collaboration with the European Community and the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) launches the Country Poverty Assessment Survey next week.
The Survey is being conducted to determine the extent and causes of poverty in St Vincent and the Grenadines. This information is vital for the Government's long term social and economic policies and will provide information for international donor agencies.
The launch takes place on Tuesday 17th July at the Foreign Affairs Conference room at 8:30am.
A National Orientation Workshop will be held for various stakeholders on the 16th of July and will continue on the 17th July after the launch of the project.
The project is being conducted by the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme and the European Union.
