Major Development for the North Windward Constituency
Parliamentary representative for North Windward is excited about the development plan devised for his constituency.
Speaking with the API Hon. Montgomery Daniel said the construction of the Yuremi Taiwan Bridge above the Rabacca Dry River has been attracting a number of tourists, both local and foreign.
Minister Daniel said the frequency of the visits prompted him to discuss with Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves the need to develop a national park in the area.
He pointed out that although the plan had been there before, funding for the project had not been allocated. However, Daniel said he had been given the assurance from the Prime Minister that he would be willing to source approximately US $one million for the development of the area.
Cabinet, he said had appointed a committee, headed by himself, to overlook the development project.
The Yuremi Taiwan Bridge is scheduled to be opened on March 28, as it was on that date in 2001 that the ULP administration took office.
