JU-C MATHEMATICS COMPETITION
The prize giving ceremony for the Ju-C Mathematics Competition was held yesterday, 16th January, 2007 at the Anglican Pastoral Center.
The competition was organized by the Math Department in the Curriculum Development Unit of the Ministry of Education in order to develop a deeper appreciation and love for mathematics among students.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chief Education Officer Luis Deshong urged teachers to find ways to use the projects that were displayed as ways to enhance their math lessons at school.
The students' projects were judged at three levels, internally at each participating school, at a zonal level and at the finals.
The prizes awarded in the finals were:
" 1st, Taj Lee of St Vincent Grammar School for his project "Matherdy"

" 3rd, Oral Jacobs of J. P. Eustace Secondary School for "Maths to Graphics"
" 4th, to Chezaul Walker also of the St Vincent Grammar School for "Journey to Maths".
