NATIONAL CONSULTATION ON COMPREHENSIVE DISASTER MANAGEMENT
The Second National Consultation on Comprehensive Disaster Management is scheduled to be held on Thursday January 18th at the Peace Memorial Hall and will run from 9.00 am to 3.00pm.
The objective of the consultation is to review the progress made of the Comprehensive Disaster Management strategy, adapted and implemented over the past five years and to fine tune the strategic approach for the next five years.
Topics to be discussed include:
" The SVG Emergency and Disaster Management Act, 2006
" The National Disaster Response Plan and
" The National Hazards Mitigation Policy and Plan.
The National Consultation on CDM is organized by NEMO with Support from CDERA'S Coordinating Unit in Barbados and funded by UNDP.
