MINISTER OF TOURISM VISITS RESORT AT BUCCAMENT
The first phase of the Buccament Bay Resort is set to open its doors by November of 2007.
The Buccament Bay Resort will contain some 450 rooms when completed employing over 500 Vincentian workers.
Minister of Tourism Hon Glen Beache accompanied by Tourism officials paid a visit to the construction site on Monday 15th January 2007.
Minister Beache said he is pleased with the progress made so far and praised the investors for doing so much in such a short time.
Minister Beache also welcomed the employment opportunities the construction of the resort provides for the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Some 280 workers are currently working on the site. This number is expected to increase to 400 by February. When the 24 acre resort is completed towards the end of 2008, some 520 Vincentians will be employed.
