To promote and showcase innovations and developments in the agricultural and agro-industrial sectors.
Specific Objectives:
To showcase opportunities that would stimulate and increase investments in agriculture and agro-processing.
To create an awareness of the initiatives used in the transformation of the agricultural sector into a modern competitive one.
To create opportunities for the marketing of agricultural commodities are agro-industrial products.
To encourage the population to consume what is produced locally.
Introduction
The last National Agricultural and Industrial Exhibition was held in December, 2003.
Government’s Policy is to have the National Exhibition every 5 years.
The Government has also given the green light to host the Caribbean Week of Agriculture which is expected to have about 200 professionals across the globe including the Ministers of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries within Caricom.

Sunday 5th – Friday 10th October, 2008 Hosting of the Caribbean Week of Agriculture
Thursday 9th – Sunday 12th October, 2008 Hosting of National Agricultural and Agro-Based Industrial Exhibition.
